Apple Card grants Daily Cash credit to iPhone 13 buyers affected by pre-order errors

On the morning of the iPhone 13 pre-orders, many Apple Card users tried to make their purchases but encountered various error messages. To rectify the situation, Apple is now giving Daily Cash credit to those who tried to make their iPhone 13 purchases using the Apple Card but ended up having to use a different payment method.

As we reported on the morning of iPhone 13 pre-orders:

The Apple Card processing system appears to be suffering from a variety of bugs this morning. Users report that they couldn’t seem to pay for their iPhone 13 with the Apple Card, but other payment methods worked as usual. Of course, this means that you will miss the 3% box office if you do not pay with the Apple Card.

The Apple Card offers 3% daily cashback on all Apple purchases, including iPhone pre-orders. This makes Apple Card one of the most lucrative credit cards for Apple purchases, especially since you get 3% back on the full purchase price of the iPhone (or any Apple product), even if you finance it.

In an email to Apple Card users sent by 9to5Mac, Apple says:

You have successfully completed your iPhone pre-order using a payment method other than the Apple Card. We know that your first attempt to buy with the Apple Card was rejected and you did not earn 3% daily money.

We apologize for the inconvenience and would like to make up for it. We will provide you with a credit for the Daily Cash the first time you pay for your iPhone 13. This is shown in the wallet app as a balance adjustment. This will also appear on your monthly statement in October.

Apple also says iPhone Upgrade Program members can earn Daily Cash back on future iPhone payments by going to the Citizen Loan Website.

Couldn’t you place your iPhone 13 pre-order using the Apple Card last month? Did you receive this email from Apple? Let us know in the comments below!

Thank you, Jakob!
