Bechtle remains optimistic after the Annual General Meeting
– Annual General Meeting decides to pay out a dividend of €1.35
– Majority for 3:1 share split
– Excellent prospects for the rest of the year
Neckarsulm, June 16, 2021 – Yesterday, the Annual General Meeting of Bechtle AG approved the payment of a dividend of €1.35 per share, an increase of 12.5% compared to the previous year. Bechtle is thus sharing the excellent company development in 2020 with its shareholders, who have received a dividend every year since the IPO in 2000. This is the 11th increase in a row. The other items on the agenda were also approved by a majority.
Due to Corona, the Annual General Meeting of Bechtle AG was once again held virtually this year. CEO Dr. In his speech, Thomas Olemotz addressed Bechtle’s excellent prospects. “We have both the right people and the right mindset to benefit from the digital trend and the opportunities it brings. With a very successful first quarter under our belt, the rest of this year continues to look very positive for us.”
The Annual General Meeting also approved the proposed increase in share capital from company funds through the issue of bonus shares. The decision is to be implemented after entry in the German commercial register in August. The effect is comparable to a share split at a ratio of 3:1, since every shareholder of Bechtle AG receives two additional free shares for every existing Bechtle share. Accordingly, the price of the Bechtle share is divided by three without influencing the real value of the share portfolio.
