CM is launching a free Moong distribution for 65.94L students today
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Prime Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will introduce free Moong distribution to 65.94,000 students in the state’s primary and secondary schools. The event takes place on Tuesday at 6pm here at the Kushabhau Thackeray Hall.
The chief secretary of nutrition, Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, said that 40.8 million primary school students and 25.13 million secondary school students would benefit from the distribution of free moong. 40,809 tons will be distributed free of charge to primary school students at 10 kg and 37,702 tons to secondary school students at 15 kg per student.
Supplied in a non-woven carry bag. Moong is distributed to primary school children in pistachio-colored bags and to secondary school children in peach-colored bags. As part of national food security, moong will be distributed to the students of eligible families through biometric verification of POS devices.
