If you have an American Express credit card, be sure to check out a new offer to get big money back just for booking a Royal Caribbean cruise.

Amex Deals is an area at the bottom of the page when you log into the American Express site that allows you to earn all kinds of bank statements for buying items from certain vendors.

Select card members may see an offer for a refund of up to $ 500 in a statement for booking a new Royal Caribbean cruise.

Before you can use an Amex offer, you usually have to activate it in your account. So before you pay anything, be sure to do it. When you use your credit card at a qualified merchant, you can immediately take advantage of the discount, credit or bonus by using your American Express card there.

Remember, you don’t have to spend the qualifying amount in one transaction. Rather, you can do this over the course of many transactions, but the offer occurs as soon as the grand total exceeds the offer threshold.

It can be redeemed once and is only available for American Express cards issued in the United States.

You must use the offer by December 31, 2021.

You can tell in the fine print for this offer that it must be redeemed direct with Royal Caribbean (although some say travel agents are fine) which may or may not mean if you booked through a travel agent that may not qualify. Here’s how to get around this rule and still receive this offer while supporting your preferred travel agent.

Even if you book a cruise directly with Royal Caribbean, you have up to 30 days to transfer it to a travel agent after the initial booking. It must be outside the final payment and the booking has not been paid in full.

I would recommend letting your travel agent know what you are doing first so they can prepare for the necessary paperwork to send it to them.
