Interswitch provides technology developers in Nigeria with suitable tools to develop new digital products and solutions with ease.

At the Interswitch Developers’ Summit in Abuja, developers from all over the city came together to learn about the remarkable capabilities of Interswitch Application Programmable Interfaces (APIs).

The Product and Developers Relations Executive at Interswitch, Tochukwu Achebe, reached out to the group of developers at the summit and said the API plugin enables companies to share their unstructured supplemental service data (USSD), Quick Response (QR) code and wallet to generate.

He said the API will allow developers across Africa to seamlessly innovate and automate their businesses regardless of the type of services offered, while also indicating that the API marketplace will be unveiled in the first quarter of 2022.

Achebe said: “With our developer community, we are building an ecosystem in which we receive feedback, bring our solutions to market quickly and offer everyone the opportunity to seamlessly integrate and develop their solutions around the APIs. We also created a sandbox so developers can test API endpoints and confirm their effectiveness. “

Business group leader, Merchant Acquiring at Interswitch, Jeffrey Williams-Edem, said the company created a platform and ecosystem that enables developers to build point-of-sale (POS) applications. He listed some of the recent improvements made to the Quickteller payment platform and POS terminals.

He added that the storefront; Payment link; electronic invoicing; Transaction status; Customer data and insights paired with payment on the web and at the POS are some of the functions that have been integrated into the platform.

“We remain committed to our efforts to be an African payment gateway that enables prosperity in Africa by enabling businesses and individuals to seamlessly trade tokens and wallets in order to make payments at Interswitch Point of Sales (POS) – Terminals or Gateways. ”Williams-Edem said.
