ManageEngine improves endpoint security with new Unified Endpoint Management features
ManageEngine, the enterprise IT management division of Zoho Corporation, announced today that its Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solution, Desktop Central, has been expanded to include data loss prevention for endpoints, anti-ransomware and endpoint compliance functions. The company will be demonstrating the new security functions at GITEX Technology Week from October 17 to 21 in the Dubai World Trade Center, Hall 7, Stand # H7-C1.
Since the widespread adoption of remote working, organizations have seen ransomware attacks increase by nearly 500%, not only exacerbating the evolving cyber threat landscape but also affecting the business continuity of the affected organizations. Given that the hybrid working model remains, ManageEngine announced the launch of anti-ransomware capabilities that will help companies with real-time ransomware detection, seamless data recovery and root cause analysis to future proof their cybersecurity strategy.
ManageEngine found in its Digital Readiness Survey 2021 that 83% of respondents worldwide were exposed to an increase in security risks due to remote workers. To enable secure access to corporate data in the midst of these cyber threats, companies use a combination of solutions such as Secure Access Service Edge, Cloud Access Security Brokers and Zero Trust. However, companies must continue to ensure the security of corporate data and prevent data loss on employee endpoints. ManageEngine added endpoint data loss prevention capabilities to enable its customers to limit data exchange to trusted email, peripherals and cloud applications, all from their existing UEM environment.
To ensure long-term security, companies must comply with the regulatory standards of the industry. ManageEngine makes this possible with its latest addition, which helps companies meet CIS compliance for endpoints, which in turn adhere to PCI DSS, HIPAA, FISMA and other regulatory frameworks in line with CIS Benchmarks â¢.
âThe pandemic has changed the way we work by distributing a highly centralized workforce and later forcing companies to adopt a hybrid work model. Cyber ââcriminals use such changes to increase the complexity of cyber attacks. Organizations need to keep expanding their cybersecurity infrastructure to address these emerging threats, “said Mathivanan Venkatachalam, Vice President of ManageEngine.” ManageEngine is committed to continuing to add enhanced security capabilities to its UEM solution to help businesses combat the evolving threat landscape without the need for additional agents and setup. “
ManageEngine was also recognized as a Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice 2021 for Unified Endpoint Management Tools, with an overall rating of 4.5 / 5 from its customers and an 87% “Willingness to Recommend” in the UEM Tools category. The award is based on customer ratings received in the evaluation period up to November 30, 2020.
