Social justice e-commerce platform, Zip Run and AeroPay digital payment company, partner to optimize cannabis delivery and collection
BOSTON and CHICAGO, April 27, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Zip Run, the first social equity firm to build a cutting-edge e-commerce platform for cannabis, and AeroPay, the cannabis industry’s preferred digital payments provider, announced a strategic partnership to admit cannabis delivery streamline and pick up. The partnership creates an integrated end-to-end solution that will help cannabis companies develop new revenue streams and provide cannabis consumers with a seamless online ordering experience. The integration leverages AeroPay’s industry-leading payments API to facilitate bank-to-bank transactions between businesses and consumers on the Zip Run platform.

On Zip Run, pharmacies can create digital storefronts where consumers can shop, place and track orders, and now pay with AeroPay. Deliveries are made by Zip Run through their cannabis “courier” license, which allows them to deliver products from licensed pharmacies and retailers. Payments on the platform are paid directly to the companies that execute the orders.
For consumers, AeroPay is the only available payment option. When creating a Zip Run account, consumers are automatically prompted to link their bank through AeroPay. At checkout, it’s a simple one-click button to complete a purchase.

The partnership initially starts in the Massachusetts Market with plans to expand to other countries in the coming months. Both companies recently raised capital. Zip Run announced its seed funding round earlier this month. AeroPay started a venture round in March.
