Capitol Heights man charged with burglary
Frank Bernard Maddox, 25, of Capitol Heights was charged last Friday with first degree burglary and theft between $ 1,500 and $ 25,000 after $ 12,150 worth of items were stolen from an apartment on the 12000 block of Abberly Place.
The theft was reported on June 26 after Jaleai Morrison left home to cut a customer’s hair at her Temple Hills hair salon.
Two suspects reportedly entered their apartment after the door was left open and walked away with several luxury items, including a pair of blue Balenciaga shoes valued at $ 1,400 and a rainbow-colored Gucci bag priced at $ 2,800, so the police.
“When the suspects left, they picked up Jaleai’s four-month-old gray French bulldog (Rio) valued at $ 5,000,” the indictment said.
Two $ 1,250 worth of Playstation game systems and $ 1,700 worth of designer shoes were also reportedly removed from the property.
The police allegedly identified Maddox through an OfferUp online account with the username “Frank”, which lists several of the stolen items.
Couple charged with stealing remote-controlled cars
On Friday, two men were charged with second-degree burglary and theft between $ 1,500 and $ 25,000 for allegedly stealing $ 3,500 in remote-controlled cars and related equipment.
The theft allegedly occurred in the early hours of July 23rd from a store on Block Crain Highway 2000 in Waldorf, Virginia, when a rubber mallet smashed a storefront window.
Six radio-controlled cars and associated parts and accessories have allegedly been taken out of service.
Carethers and Lewis were identified on the store’s security footage from the previous day when Lewis allegedly bought a car with cash, according to loading documents.
According to the documents, cell phone data are said to have linked Lewis and Carethers to the crime scene.
Newburg man, 29, arrested for attacking police officers
On Sunday morning, MPs for the Charles County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a man walking in front of traffic on the Crain Highway near Fred’s Outdoors in Waldorf.
Tramaine Vondell Dorsey, 29, from Newburg, was later found while allegedly jumping jacks in front of the Nissan dealership on the Crain Highway and continuing to block traffic.
Dorsey allegedly became combative and tried to flee when MPs used a taser and took Dorsey into custody. According to indictment documents, Dorsey struggled with officials and first responders trying to help him until he was sedated by paramedics.
Dorsey was charged with three offenses of second degree assault on an officer and four offenses of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and disturbance of the peace.
Gas station argument leads to illegal takeover
On September 15, the sheriff’s deputies were called by Charles to a gas station at Block 4700 on Crain Highway in White Plains to receive a panic business alert.
When the deputies arrived, they contacted an employee who had allegedly triggered the alarm after a vehicle was stolen.
According to indictment documents, Susan Jane White, Robyn Lynn Kelly, 41, of Nanjemoy tried to drag White out of the store before escaping with the victim’s black Honda pilot. During the scuffle, White claimed her arm was scratched, but the report said there were no marks.
Kelly was identified by a photo during a MP-led follow-up interview, according to indictment documents. She was charged with carelessly driving and second-degree bodily harm.
Capitol Heights man, 22, charged with assaulting prison
Austin Dylan Winbush, 22, who already on May 5th in Lexington Park repeatedly on James Sylvester Ford Jr.
One indictment states that Winbush knocked Ryan Tyler Burton to the ground and hit him with his closed fist several times while they were in a cell. Burton had injuries to his face and leg, the document says.
On August 2, Winbush was charged with attempted first and second degree murder, assault and five offenses. He is being held without attachment.
Woman charged in Lexington Park on indecent disclosure
Tamika Patrice Batts, 33, of Lexington Park, was charged with indecent exposure charges after allegedly cheating on her neighbors. Police responded to the 21300 block of Dayflower Place in Lexington Park at 7:24 p.m. on September 21.
John and Susan Stacey said their neighbor’s daughter showed them her bum while she was standing in a driveway. The incident was recorded on video, according to an indictment document.
Batts allegedly told police that she showed her sister tattoos, but the sister did not look at them on the video, the document says.
According to the document, there have been ongoing problems between a homeowners association, the Staceys and their neighbor, including several vehicles parked on the street. Batts received a subpoena.
Lexington Park man threatens drug distribution and firearms charges
Michael Timothy Harrod, 23, of Lexington Park, was charged with eight crimes, including drug possession with intent for distribution, possession of a large quantity of drugs, drug manufacture, use of a firearm to commit a crime, and firearm possession by a convicted felon.
Police arrested Harrod on September 22 when he was a passenger in a 1998 Lincoln. He had arrest warrants for driving while suspended and failing to appear on a theft report, as stated on the loading papers.
Police allegedly found 337 grams of marijuana, 8 grams of fentanyl, a digital scale and a Glock 45 9mm pistol. He was detained without bail on September 23rd and 24th.
Woman threatens bodily harm
A 60-year-old Prince Frederick wife faces assault charges in connection with incidents that occurred in the Huntingtown area on Sept. 17.
Calvert’s assistant sheriff’s office, Branden DeLeon-Suero, said in court records that a resident of Angelica Drive reported that a relative of her ex-husband had come to her door and asked for a crockpot. A woman in the house refused to open the door to the woman identified as Tammy Alene Ross in court documents. The deputy couldn’t find her.
DeLeon-Suero returned home less than an hour later after receiving a report of an active attack there. Ross allegedly attacked people in the house with a baton.
The MP said he spoke to two women who said Ross attacked them. DeLeon-Suero said he saw “several large bruises and welts” on a victim’s arms and face.
The other victim provided a home security video of the incident to the deputies. DeLeon-Suero stated in court records that Ross hit a woman “several times with the baton in the face, body and arms”.
Ross has been charged with two cases of first-degree assault and one each for second-degree assault, violent crimes involving minors and trespassing. On September 20, Ross announced a $ 2,500 bond issue. A preliminary hearing on the charges will take place in the district court on October 18.
Lusby Mann, 35, charged with trespassing by the grand jury
A 35-year-old Lusby man was served on September 22nd by a grand jury in Calvert on nine counts. According to court documents, the defendant Joseph Martin Blankenship is charged with kicking the back door of a house and one of the adult men in the residence. Another man in the house told investigators that he pulled Blankenship away from the victim.
According to MP Andre Mitchell, there were five adults and three children in the house at the time. All adults confirmed that they knew Blankenship and that the defendant âvisited and ate in the apartment several timesâ.
Police conducted a two-hour search of the area and deployed drone and K-9 teams. A Maryland State Police helicopter was also involved in the search.
Blankenship was then housed in a nearby residence. Investigators confiscated a knife that Blankenship allegedly used during the incident. Nobody was seriously injured.
Blankenship has been charged with home burglary, third and fourth degree burglary, dangerous weapon with intent to injure and malicious destruction of property, and two cases each with first and second degree assault. The state case against Blankenship could go on trial in February.
Chesapeake Beach man charged with burglary
On September 22nd, a Calvert County grand jury charged 31-year-old Jeremy Michael Odom-Blasiar of Chesapeake Beach with burglary.
According to court records, the incident on which the indictment is based occurred on August 11th. On August 24, an arrest warrant for Odom-Blasiar was served. The defendant is being held without bail. The charges include third and fourth degree burglary and malicious destruction of property.
Odom-Blasiar’s first appearance on the indictments is scheduled for Monday.
Unsolved theft in Huntingtown goes to Crime Solvers
On September 15, Deputy Jermaine Mason called Tractor Supply in Huntingtown with a report of theft. The complainant stated that three people were observed loading several items, including an 8000 watt dual fuel generator, a 2000 watt inverter generator, a high pressure gas washer and a lithium jump starter, into a shopping cart. The same people bypassed the checkout line and left the store without paying. The estimated value of the stolen property is $ 2,570.
