Thailand’s convenience stores and shopping malls will be open from October 1st until 9:00 p.m.

Thailand’s CCSA decided to keep the curfew for at least 15 days, but reduced its duration to the period between 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. and allowed shopping centers and convenience stores to operate until 9 p.m.

The Center for COVID-19 Situation Management extended the state of emergency until November 30, maintained the curfew for another 15 days and allowed music performances in restaurants from October 1.

Government spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana said the CCSA has approved the easing of its COVID-19 disease control measures, which would go into effect October 1.

CCSA advocated reopening kindergartens, libraries, museums, learning centers, manicure shops, tattoo shops, health salons, massage and spa shops, indoor stadiums, cinemas and restaurants with live bands. It did not allow exhibition and convention centers to reopen.


CCSA decided to keep the curfew for at least 15 days, but reduced its duration to between 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. It enabled shopping centers and convenience stores to run until 9 p.m. In open-air stadiums, spectators can receive up to 25% of their seating capacity.

The Covid-19 Task Force reduced the quarantine time to 7 days for foreign visitors who have a certificate of receipt of two COVID-19 vaccine doses. The quarantine is 10-14 days for visitors who do not have a COVID-19 vaccination card.

Further tourist destinations will reopen from October 1st to 31st. They are Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao in Surat Thani Province; Khao Lak and Koh Yao in Phangnga; and Koh Phi Phi, Koh Ngai, Railay, Klong Muang and Thap Khaek from Krabi. (TNA)
