The company recently introduced a professional construction service that only $ 99 on top of that, and frankly, this is probably the best way to get your hands on next-gen GPUs. Read on to learn more and why you can get RTX 30 series and RX 6000 series graphics cards through Newegg’s new PC building service.
NVIDIA avoids price drops by selling GPUs exclusively through its PC building service
We all know how hard it was to get a new GPU. In fact, getting a card has been next to impossible for some time unless you were willing to pay more than 100% more than a card’s MSRP. While prices are starting to drop, finding an MSRP card is still not easy. However, Newegg is here to help.
The company has been offering its PC builder tool for some time, which works similarly to PCPartPicker and helps you select the components for your next system. With the recent introduction of his $ 99 PC assembly service, Newegg has a little more control over things. Previously, you could only select one GPU through the service, as it was no different from shopping on the company’s normal website. But with the new professional pc assembly service there are some limitations but bigger advantages. On the one hand, all components must be available in Newegg’s California warehouse. Most importantly, you need to select all of the components required for a build including the CPU, RAM, motherboard, GPU, case, power supply, cooler, memory, and operating system.
This service is offered for $ 99where Newegg’s professional team assembles the desktop and then delivers it. Since you pick each part and then even have to pay Newegg to assemble it, the online retailer is now offering a stock of GPUs exclusively for the service, as long as you pay for the complete kit-and-Kaboodle. While this may be annoying if you just want to upgrade your existing system, those looking for a full desktop will find it quite nice as they can get the latest and greatest without having to battle scalpers. In fact, we’ve put together a build here that includes the Ryzen 5 5600X, 16 GB of RGB RAM, and the ZOTAC RTX 3070 AMP. All-in, including construction costs, is just over $ 2,000. For this price, this system is hard to beat, especially since it also includes a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD in the price and professional equipment.

Now let’s look at what Newegg calculates for the assembly here. $ 99. This is Not bad, and that comes from someone who made a living doing pc assembly. In case you didn’t know, before 9to5 I was a local PC repair technician who also specialized in building custom PCs for clients. Everything from $ 600 entry-level machines to $ 15,000 custom water-cooled dual GPU systems that I had my hands on. If you’ve never built a PC before, this can be a little intimidating. I’m not going to lie – when I first assembled a fully custom PC, my friend and I spent the better part of four hours trying to figure out why it wouldn’t turn on … only to find we hadn’t plugged in the CPU’s EPS have plugs. Not sure what an EPS connector is? I didn’t know either almost 10 years ago, but now I’m a seasoned builder. But that only came through a lot of frustration and troubleshooting. Newegg is ready to do all of this for you so when the desktop arrives you can just plug it in and go.
Is it worth giving Newegg $ 99 to build a PC instead of buying a pre-built one?
Well, only you can answer that question. Pre-built computers can be quite limiting, but they can also be somewhat liberating. How? Well, they are limiting in that you generally cannot choose the internal components. The builder selects these items and you get the same cookie cutter desktop that everyone else who bought this model got. That’s nice because they’re easy to get and readily available, and large manufacturers have easier access to the supply chain than we do. But it’s not unique.
Newegg’s PC construction service is just one $ 99 in addition to the EIA components in general and you can choose anything. That’s true, everything. You can choose which case the computer is built into, be it the fully tempered glass or just a touch. Which cooler? It’s up to you too. Do you want RGB RAM? It’s easy, just add it to your shopping cart. The list goes on. If you want the customization that comes with handcrafted PCs but not the hassle that comes with it, then this is Newegg’s $ 99 Fee is quite reasonable and well worth it.

While I would prefer that people could buy a standalone GPU, that’s just not feasible these days. With Newegg’s service, you can easily and honestly upgrade to the latest and greatest in gaming gear. I’m pretty impressed with the price they offer it too, there $ 99 seems like a small price to pay for not having to worry about anything.
